Privacy Notice
This notice explains what Innit Social Limited collects, why we use it, where content is stored, and the choices available to you.
Last updated 22 September 20261. Who we are
Innit Social Limited is the controller of the personal information described in this notice. You can contact us at admin@innit.social.
2. Information we use
Depending on the features you choose, we may process your account details, Innit ID, verified contact details, profile information, device and security data, connections, reports, listings, payments and support messages.
When you allow it, the app may also use your camera, microphone, photos, contacts, notifications or approximate location to provide the feature you requested. Operating-system permission controls remain available to you.
3. Your messages and media
Personal messages and media are encrypted on your device before storage or transfer. Encrypted text envelopes and the limited routing, relationship, delivery and safety information needed to operate the service are held in our application database. Opaque encrypted media and recovery capsules are held in private object storage and are released only through short-lived, authorised links. Listings and other content you deliberately publish are visible according to the audience you select.
4. Why we use information
We use information to provide and secure your account; deliver Chats, Hub and Listings; sync content across your devices; process purchases; respond to support requests; prevent misuse; comply with law; and improve reliability. Our legal grounds may include performing our contract with you, your consent, our legitimate interests in operating a safe service, and legal obligations.
5. Services that help us operate
We use service providers where necessary, including Google Cloud and Firebase for application infrastructure, phone verification and notifications, Resend for authentication-email delivery, Cloudflare for private encrypted object storage, Apple and Google for mobile distribution and purchases, and Stripe for eligible web payments. These providers process information under their own terms and our arrangements with them.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep account and operational information only while it is needed for the purposes above, legal requirements, fraud prevention or dispute handling. Verification documents are encrypted, restricted to authorised reviewers and retained only for the documented review, fraud-prevention and legal periods. Fresh evidence is required for each monthly review. Message and media deletion follows the retention and participant-copy rules shown in the app; encrypted media is scheduled for deletion from private object storage when its controlling message is deleted or expires. You can request account deletion at any time.
8. Your choices and rights
You can control profile visibility, audiences, blocks, reports, notification settings and device permissions. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to or export your personal information, and to withdraw consent.
9. International use and children
Service providers may process information outside your country with appropriate safeguards. innit.social is not intended for children below the minimum age permitted in their country. We may apply additional age and safety controls where required.
10. Questions or complaints
Contact admin@innit.social first so we can help. UK users may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
