Safety
Connection needs boundaries
innit.social gives people clear controls over who can reach them, what they share, and how unwanted behaviour is handled.
Last updated 6 September 2026Block without confrontation
Blocking is private. A blocked account cannot see your presence or send content to you. Messages attempted during a block are not delivered later if you unblock that account.
Report content or accounts
Reports can be made from the relevant message, profile, Hub or listing. Include enough context for a fair review. Immediate danger should always be reported to local emergency services first.
Choose your audience
Use the audience and membership controls for Buzz and Hubs before sharing. Your private Innit ID lets people connect without making your phone number public.
Hub controls
Hub owners and administrators can manage membership, roles, announcements and content. Participants should check a Hub's rules before posting.
Listings safety
Check reviews, qualifications, pricing and identity before arranging a service. Keep early conversations in Chats, avoid sharing sensitive financial information and use secure payment methods. A paid listing is not an endorsement by Innit. Verification badges describe the checks completed for that account; monthly payment funds review but does not guarantee approval.
Privacy and account security
Protect every passkey, review signed-in devices, use screen or chat locks when appropriate, and never share an email or phone verification code. Passkeys provide stronger protection against phishing. A verification code cannot decrypt old Chats on a new device by itself. Learn more in our Privacy Notice.
